1. Do I need my burger van catering trailer gas certificated?

Yes, all trailers containing gas equipment need certificating every twelve months some places where the trailers are parked might ask for certification every six months.

2. Does my extraction system need cleaning by law every year?

Yes, you should have it done yearly for insurance purposes plus the local fire officer on inspecting the property ask for it.

3. Do I need a extraction system installed in my new kitchen?

Yes, fpr anything over 7 kw, an extraction system is required. It also has to be gas interlocked and come up to current gas legislation.

4. Does my gas equipment need servicing by law?

Yes, as a landlord you need to have all gas fired equipment serviced yearly and certificated.

5. Do I need to use a gas safe engineer to work on my gas equipment?

Yes.

6. Do I need to use a gas safe engineer to work on my LPG gas equipment?

Yes.

7. Why do I need to be gas interlocked?

An interlock is required to ensure the safety and comfort of the kitchen staff. If the ventilation system is not operating correctly, gases including carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide can build up to dangerous levels. The Gas Safe Register® replaced CORGI as the gas registration body in Great Britain on 1st April 2009.
